For the first three months of its 2023-24 fiscal year, AutoZone reported EPS up 18.6% to $32.55, operating profit up 17.4% to $849 million, and gross margin up 2.8 points to 52.8%.

At 4.2 billion, sales of the automotive parts and accessories distributor were up 5.1%, including 2.1% growth on a like-for-like basis and excluding currency effects, driven mainly by international business (+10.9%).

"We remain committed to driving sales and earnings growth through fiscal 2023-24, while redistributing cash to our shareholders," comments CEO Bill Rhodes.
