Avenue Supermarts Limited announced unaudited standalone earnings results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2018. For the quarter, the company reported revenue from operations of INR 48,725.2 million compared with INR 35,069.2 million for the same period a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 3,490.5 million compared with INR 2,930.6 million for the same period a year ago. Net profit was INR 2,257.4 million or INR 3.56 per diluted share compared with INR 1,910.4 million or INR 3.02 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. EBIDTA was INR 3,900 million, year over year growth of 22.6%. Total income was INR 48,863.8 million compared with INR 35,281.3 million for the same period a year ago.
For the first half, the company reported revenue from operations of INR 94,319.4 million compared with INR 71,050.4 million for the same period a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 7,356.3 million compared with INR 5,610.7 million for the same period a year ago. Net profit was INR 4,763.5 million or INR 7.52 per diluted share compared with INR 3,658.1 million or INR 5.78 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. EBIDTA was INR 8,120 million, year over year growth of 30.8%. Total income was INR 94,600.5 million compared with INR 71,491.3 million for the same period a year ago.

DMart is a supermarket chain that offers customers a range of products with a focus on the foods, non-foods fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and general merchandise and apparel product categories.
