Avenue Supermarts Limited announced earnings results for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2020. For the fourth quarter, the company announced total revenue was INR 62,907.8 million compared to INR 50,748.9 million a year ago. Net income was INR 2,712.9 million compared to INR 1,915.8 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was INR 4.25 compared to INR 3.07 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was INR 4.21 compared to INR 3.03 a year ago. For the full year, total revenue was INR 249,301.9 million compared to INR 200,528.7 million a year ago. Net income was INR 13,010.8 million compared to INR 9,025.4 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was INR 20.71 compared to INR 14.46 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was INR 20.55 compared to INR 14.26 a year ago.
Avenue Supermarts Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged in the business of organized retail and operating supermarkets under the D-Mart brand name. DMart is a supermarket chain that offers customers a range of products with a focus on the foods, non-foods fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and general merchandise and apparel product categories.
