Avenue Supermarts Limited reported unaudited standalone earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2017. For the quarter, the company reported revenue from operations of INR 35,082.669 million against INR 27,787.337 million a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 2,930.302 million against INR 1,784.695 million a year ago. Net profit after tax was INR 1,910.226 million or INR 3.02 per diluted share against INR 1,156.482 million or INR 2.06 per basic and diluted share a year ago. EBITDA was INR 3,180 million a year on year growth of 36.5%.
For the six months, the company reported revenue from operations of INR 71,063.977 million against INR 54,311.238 million a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 5,610.504 million against INR 3,612.555 million a year ago. Net profit after tax was INR 3,657.983 million or INR 5.78 per diluted share against INR 2,340.935 million or INR 4.17 per basic and diluted share a year ago. EBITDA was INR 6,210 million a year on year growth of 32.8%.

DMart is a supermarket chain that offers customers a range of products with a focus on the foods, non-foods fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and general merchandise and apparel product categories.
