Avenue Supermarts Limited reported unaudited standalone earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2018. For the quarter, the company reported revenue from operations of INR 54,509.4 million against INR 40,938.9 million a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 3,949.2 million against INR 3,851.5 million a year ago. Net profit after tax was INR 2,571.1 million or INR 4.12 per basic share against INR 2,517.7 million or INR 4.03 per basic share a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was INR 4.06 against INR 3.97 a year ago.
For the nine months, the company reported revenue from operations of INR 148,828.8 million against INR 111,989.3 million a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 11,305.5 million against INR 9,462.2 million a year ago. Net profit after tax was INR 7,334.6 million or INR 11.75 per basic share against INR 6,175.8 million or INR 9.75 per basic share a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was INR 11.59 against INR 9.75 a year ago.

DMart is a supermarket chain that offers customers a range of products with a focus on the foods, non-foods fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and general merchandise and apparel product categories.
