Ringier AG agreed to acquire remaining 50% stake in Ringier Axel Springer Media AG from Axel Springer SE (OTCPK:AXEL.F) on July 28, 2021. In Slovakia, Ringier Axel Springer Media AG founder will remain a minority shareholder. The successful joint venture between Ringier and Axel Springer in Poland will remain unchanged.

Completion of the transaction requires the approval of the competent local antitrust authorities. The acquisition of the shares should be completed over the course of 2021. David Oser and Reto Heuberger of Homburger AG acted as legal advisor for Axel Springer SE.
