Azelis, a leading global innovation service provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry, is proud to announce their new distribution agreement with UPM Biochemicals, the renewable chemicals business of the Finnish global bioeconomy player UPM Kymmene. Effective immediately, this new mandate will strengthen Azelis' position by extending a more sustainable offering in the Rubber & Plastic Additives (R&PA) market in France, Italy, and Benelux.

This agreement covers the use of UPM's BioMotion™ X10, BioMotion™ X20 and BioMotion™ X40 Renewable Functional Filler (RFF) products in plastics in Italy, as well as plastic and rubber applications in France and Benelux. This partnership offers customers a more sustainable solution, replacing existing functional fillers with a new, high-performance, 100% renewable option. Being part of a formulation at a high percentage, RFF makes an important contribution to improving the sustainability of rubber and plastics. This mandate further expands Azelis' lateral value chain and enhances the ability to support the launch of an innovative, sustainable material in these market sectors and territories.

Christian Pflesser, Market Segment Director R&PA, EMEA at Azelis, comments:

"We are delighted to enter this new partnership with UPM. Sustainability is a driving factor at Azelis, as outlined in 'Action 2025', our sustainability strategy, and such innovative, sustainable products perfectly complement our lateral value chain. We are eager to support the product roll-out across Italy, France and Benelux, and we look forward to working together with the UPM Biochemicals team."

Christian Hübsch, Director Sales & Marketing at UPM Biochemicals, adds:

"We are excited to work with Azelis, a renowned distributor for rubber and plastics applications. With a strong position in the markets in Italy, France, and Benelux, and an excellent team in place, Azelis will make a significant contribution to the successful market launch of UPM Renewable Functional Fillers. Azelis' clear commitment to sustainability was a driving factor in our decision to work together, and we look forward to bringing this new product to the market."
