CHELMSFORD, Mass. (AP) _ Azenta, Inc. (AZTA) on Tuesday reported a fiscal third-quarter loss of $9.6 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Chelmsford, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 13 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and pretax expenses, were 12 cents per share.

The supplier to semiconductor manufacturers posted revenue of $132.7 million in the period.

For the current quarter ending in September, Brooks expects its per-share earnings to range from 4 cents to 12 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $131 million to $141 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.

Brooks shares have declined 38% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $63.85, a decline of 27% in the last 12 months.
