The Board of Directors of the Bajaj Electricals Limited has, at its meeting held on January 6, 2020, inter alia considered and approved the appointment of Shri Ajay Nagle as the Company Secretary and as the Compliance Officer effective January 6, 2020. He will oversee the Legal and Secretarial functions of the Company. The appointment of the Company Secretary & Compliance Officer of the Company is in place of Shri Mangesh Patil who has resigned from the Company's services. Shri Ajay Nagle, apart from being a Commerce and Law graduate, is a Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and brings with him more than 29 years of working experience with different Corporates. In his earlier stints, he had worked with companies like Fulford India, Essel Propack, Bharat Forge and Tata Autocomp Systems overseeing the Legal and Secretarial functions. His last assignment was with Reliance Industries Limited, where he was working in the capacity of Head Legal & Secretarial since the year 2014 and overseeing legal and compliance related matters of their Petrochemicals Division.
Bajaj Electricals Limited is engaged in the marketing of various consumer household and industrial goods. The Company operates through two segments: Consumer Products and Lighting Solutions. The Consumer Products segment is engaged in the manufacturing and trading of consumer durables products which includes fans, domestic appliances, kitchen appliances, and non-electrical kitchen aids. The Lighting Solutions segment is engaged in the manufacturing and trading of lighting products which includes light-emitting diode (LED) products, such as lamps, bulbs, battens and ceiling lights in consumer lighting and poles, high mast, street lighting, area lighting, in professional lighting. It also provides various fans comprising ceiling, pedestal, table, wall, personal, domestic, and others. It also involved in the engineering, procurement and commissioning of power transmission and power distribution infrastructure. It operates approximately 2,00,000 retail outlets.
