Banca Generali: digital corporate communication awarded for transparency and sustainable commitment

Among the Italian networks of financial advisors, Banca Generali is the one that communicates best at corporate level on the web. This is what emerges from the annual "Webranking" research produced by the Italian-Swedish consultancy firm Lundquist.

According to the analysis, we obtained a 4-star rating, totaling an overall score of 68.3. This is due to the digital corporate communication strategy which, by focusing on the historic transparency policy adopted, has given clear disclosure not only of the financial objectives, but also of the non-financial ones. An increasingly central element in the communication of companies that today have the fundamental task of guiding the sustainable transition of the planet with their actions.

Overall, Banca Generali ranks fifth among Italian banks (behind Banca Ifis, Mediobanca, Intesa Sanpaolo and UniCredit) and 20th overall in a ranking of listed Italian companies led by Terna, Snam and Poste Italiane.

Analysis and KPIs

The Webranking by Comprend 2020-2021 research drawn up by Lundquist, an international strategic consultancy company specialized in online corporate communication, is considered the main European survey that evaluates the transparency of corporate and financial communication on the digital channels of the main listed companies, based on the needs of stakeholders.

The KPIs at the center of this year's analysis took into account the financial and sustainability information present in the strategy and communicated externally through effective storytelling, the technology and accessibility of the site as well as SEO positioning, videos and infographics. All this to better describe the company's approach to the relevant issues and pillars envisaged in the business plan.
