Banca Transilvania received the title Bank of the Year for the performance and the results achieved in 2021, at the Financial Market Awards Gala, organized on December 7th.

BT was represented by Gabriela Nistor, Deputy CEO of Retail Banking, who stated the following: "I think this award is beyond numbers and results, it is all about the journey we have traveled. This whole trip is extraordinary, like a marathon for many years, in which the terrain and the competitors change every kilometer, and sometimes other competitors warm up on the sidelines. We managed to cover this whole race, with impressive results, especially in the last two years which have been very complicated. Extraordinary things have happened, and that's because our runners have always run next to each other, and here I refer to all our colleagues, and without the BT team we would not have been able to we have such good results, so many products, so fast changes. Customers have seen this, appreciated it and I feel that you are handing us an award from our customers as well, because so many people in this country trust us and feel that we do human banking."

Banca Transilvania has strengthened its leadership on the banking market this year and has continued to support the economic recovery through dynamic financing with numbers above the market average. The consolidated net profit of the BT Group, at the end of September 2021, amounts to 1,669 million RON, of which 1,474 million RON belongs to the bank, and approximately 195 million RON belongs to its subsidiaries and equity participations. Banca Transilvania Financial Group's assets reached 118 billion RON at the end of the third quarter of this year, an increase of 9.7% compared to the beginning of the year.

In the first nine months of 2021, BT granted over 166,000 loans to individuals and over 13,700 loans to legal entities. The number of BT customers has increased by over 133,000 since the beginning of the year, + 4% for individuals and + 3% for legal entities.
