 Mouro Capital, a venture capital fund focused on fintechs and adjacent businesses participated by Banco Santander, announced today a new investment in Securitize, a California-based startup which offers a trusted global solution for issuing and managing compliant digital securities on the blockchain. Mouro Capital had already invested in Securitize in 2019.

Securitize has announced today that its Series B fundraising round was oversubscribed, with $48 million raised from new and existing investors. The raise was co-led by existing investors Blockchain Capital andinvestment funds managed byMorgan Stanley Tactical Value. They were joined by new investors including Ava Labs, IDC Ventures, Migration Capital, NTT Data and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank. The round also included other existing investors wishing to increase their investments in Securitize, with Blockchain Ventures, Borderless Capital, Ripio, Ripple and SPiCE VC ultimately joining. With this raise, Securitize is the first blockchain company to receive major institutional funding from North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
