Danish audio brand becomes an Official Event Partner and provider of limited-edition ROC-branded products..
Promoters of the annual Race Of Champions (ROC), International Media Productions (IMP) and audio brand Bang & Olufsen have announced a multi-year partnership. The Danish brand is renowned for its luxury audio and visual products and will be creating co-branded products with ROC as part of this agreement. 'We look for innovation in how we create events, and in the partners, we get involved with,' said ROC President Fredrik Johnsson. 'Bang & Olufsen is an outstanding brand and with its extreme focus on high performance a perfect fit for us - also as the event is going to be held in Scandinavia in February.'
A unique, winner-takes-all format that gives competitors from every discipline of racing the opportunity to test their talents against competitors they would never typically encounter, ROC has been innovating racing formats for more than three decades. The two-day event features luminaries from many the world's most important racing series. Past rosters have included superstars from all of the premier leagues in global motorsports including Formula 1, Le Mans, Nascar, IndyCar, World Rally and Rallycross-legends like Michael Schumacher, Tom Kristensen, Sebastian Vettel, Sébastien Loeb, Petter Solberg, Mattias Ekström, Colin McRae, David Coulthard, Marcus Grönholm, and Jenson Button; along with other international stars like Nascar champions Jimmie Johnson, Kurt and Kyle Busch, and Jeff Gordon; Ryan Hunter-Reay and Josef Newgarden of IndyCar; Formula E Champion Lucas Di Grassi; Legendary Extreme sports star Travis Pastrana; and Indy 500 champs Juan-Pablo Montoya and Helio Castroneves.
Starting with the 2022 ROC 'SNOW + ICE' event in Pite Havsbad, Sweden, Bang & Olufsen will be bringing its distinctive design and technologies to a collection of headphones, bluetooth speakers, and custom products for ROC drivers and VIPs, along with best-in-class equipment to support the eROC competition-an event that attracts many of the top players in global esports. 'Race of Champions is a symbol of sophisticated performance, we pleased to become a partner of this great institution in motorsport.' said Bang & Olufsen Country Manager in Norway, Sweden and Finland, Johan Mathson. 'We share the same passion and determination for excellence as ROC and their fans around the world. As the largest event to ever take place in the Norrbotten region, the 2022 WORLD FINAL event is striving for carbon-neutral operations. Event organizers have released a limited number of tickets through Tickster and will host live attendance consistent with any COVID restrictions that persist. Organizers and local officials will be providing updates through 2021 (visit raceofchampions.com) with regard to date, ticket sales and any restrictions affecting travel and local services due to COVID, as well as updates regarding any permitted live attendance and ticket sales.
