The British magazine Euromoney named Citi Handlowy 'The Best Investment Bank in Poland' 2020 in the prestigious Euromoney's Awards for Excellence. Last year, Citi Handlowy in cooperation with Citi supported Polish enterprises in the largest international M&A transactions.

Over the twelve months between April 2020 and March 2021, Citi Handlowy participated in all major transactions on the market. According to the data of Dealogic, it was the only bank in Poland to take the podium in terms of the portfolio size in every category: announced M&A transactions, capital markets, financing of loans and on the debt market in that period

The Euromoney award proves that Citi Handlowy is an important partner for Polish companies that want to expand abroad and global enterprises operating in Poland. We have not only a deep understanding of the local market, but also - through the Citigroup - expertise on global markets. We provide services to the largest Polish enterprises, local and foreign financial institutions. We are also responsible for liaisons with Poland's largest banks. The Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory team provides different forms of financing to its clients, such as loans, bonds, project finance or acquisition financing to take over assets. In addition, there is also investment advice on mergers and acquisitions. Citi and Citi Handlowy offer their clients a whole range of products and solutions to help them develop their businesses in Poland and on global markets, says Piotr Kosno, Managing Director, Strategic Customers Department at Citi Handlowy.

Citi Handlowy actively supports Polish companies in their foreign expansion - in the first quarter 2021 it was the main lender to InPost in a EUR 565 million acquisition of a leading French parcel service provider. Previously, the Brokerage House of Citi Handlowy together with Citigroup Global Markets Europe acted as a local manager and global coordinator, respectively, of the EUR 3.2 billion IPO of InPost, the largest ever début in the technology sector in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. It participated in the début of Allegro, the biggest IPO on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since its establishment.

The Best Investment Bank Award is one of the most prestigious awards on the financial market. It has been organized by Euromoney since 1992. This year, Euromoney received the record number submissions from banks in more than 50 regional and 100 country awards categories.
