Citi Handlowy was yet again named the 'Market Leader' of transactional banking in the category of cash management of corporate clients in a prestigious Euromoney Cash Management Survey for 2020. The bank celebrated the title of the market leader, obtained for the seventh consecutive time, in a special way. In the unique year of its 150th anniversary, the bank decided to financially support the #SilentHeroes campaign, which focuses, among others, on helping paramedics.

Citi Handlowy has funded a portable ultrasound device to equip an ambulance. The device enables precise testing for COVID-19 and raises the chance of survival of people with serious internal injuries - almost 200 people a day who need emergency intervention. It will be sixth portable ultrasound funded by the bank.

The title of the market leader, which was only possible thanks to clients' votes, is the most valuable proof of recognition for us. We have continuously developed our cash management services and implemented new digital solutions in order to support businesses in this challenging time, says Jim Foley, Member of the Management Board of the Bank in charge of the Treasury and Trade Solutions Sector at Citi Handlowy. It is silent heroes of this year, medical professionals, that deserve credit for enabling safe functioning of all of us. As a token of our gratitude, we decided to fund a portable ultrasound device, which will improve testing for COVID-19 and enable better lung diagnostics.

Citi Handlowy continues to streamline and digitize cash management processes for corporate clients based on cutting-edge technological solutions and its global expertise. This year, it simplified, among others, the processing of documents by introducing electronic signature and, thanks to the CitiConnect API service, made it possible to integrate a company's financial and accounting system with the bank's systems and to execute instant payments. It also made available a number of useful self-service functions related to company finance.

The Bank supports its clients in running business on multiple markets by offering comprehensive foreign settlements and access to creating payments in over 200 currencies, from anywhere in the world, in the CitiDirect BE electronic banking system. Bank helps clients adjust their settlements to the changes in the regulatory environment on an ongoing basis.

The results of the Euromoney Cash Management Survey 2020 confirm the strong position of Citi. Yet again, Citi took the first place in the category 'Cash Management Market Leader' in the region of Africa, Central and Eastern Europe and on 12 markets. At the same time, just like in the previous edition of the ranking, the bank received one of the top rankings in the 'Best Service' category in Africa, Central and Eastern Europe and in 15 countries.

Euromoney Cash Management Survey is a prestigious ranking conducted regularly by Euromoney Magazine. The ranking includes leading financial institutions managing cash. This year, over 32,000 people responsible for finance at companies being clients of these institutions voted in the survey. The ranking is deemed the most comprehensive and authoritative summary of the market in terms of cash management.
