We are committed to promoting electronic payment for everyday spending and to supporting Hong Kong's development as a smart city by collaborating with various merchants and organisations. As of the end of 2020, the number of merchants that accept BoC Bill grew by 53% compared to 2019. As commuting is an integral part of one's daily life, BOCHK began to offer electronic payment options for some of the franchised bus routes last year.

This year, with the launch of the new parking meters, we provide diverse electronic payment options to facilitate easier payment for drivers. Going forward, BOCHK will continue to extend electronic payment to other transport means to bring greater convenience to commuters.' In addition, BOCHK customers can earn gift points by paying their parking fees with BoC Pay at the new parking meters. For every HK$1 spent, one gift point is earned. Every 250 gift points can be used to offset HK$1 when paying for parking. With the Monday's Surprise offer, customers can offset HK$1 of parking fees with just 200 gift points, saving 20% of gift points and innovating the parking payment experience for cusomers.
