Statistics on loans serviced by Credit Servicing Firms (CSFs): Q2 2021

• In the second quarter of 2021, the nominal value of loans to domestic residents serviced by domestic CSFs that have been transferred to non-resident specialised financial institutions increased by €18,980 million.
• The total value of the above category of loans increased to €61,754 million at the end of the second quarter of 2021, from €42,774 million in the previous quarter.

Corporate loans

The nominal value of serviced corporate loans increased to €26,572 million in the second quarter of 2021, from €16,782 million in the previous quarter. In further detail, the nominal value of loans to non-financial corporations (NFCs) increased by €9,791 million to €26,493 million at the end of the second quarter of 2021. Out of the total of these loans to NFCs, an amount of €14,220 million corresponds to loans to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The nominal value of loans to other financial institutions serviced by CSFs remained unchanged at €80 million at the end of the second quarter of 2021.

Loans to sole proprietors, farmers and unincorporated partnerships

The nominal value of loans to sole proprietors, farmers and unincorporated partnerships serviced by CSFs increased by €1,936 million from the previous quarter to €7,474 million at the end of the second quarter of 2021.

Loans to individuals and private non-profit institutions

The nominal value of loans to individuals and private non-profit institutions serviced by CSFs increased by €7,253 million to €27,707 million at the end of the second quarter of 2021. In further detail, consumer loans serviced increased by €1,287 million to €13,844 million, while the corresponding housing loans increased by €5,967 million to €13,678 million.
