Bank of New York Mellon Corp. on Monday said Robin Vince, former chief risk officer at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., will join on Oct. 1 as vice chair of BNY and CEO of global market infrastructure.

In the newly created position, Mr. Vince will oversee the New York bank's clearance and collateral management, treasury services, markets, and Pershing businesses.

BNY said Mr. Vince, who spent roughly 25 years with Goldman, will report to CEO Todd Gibbons.

Mr. Vince retired from Goldman at the end of last year after serving as chief risk officer since 2017. He joined Goldman as an analyst in 1994 and was named a managing director in 2002 and a partner in 2006.
