• The agreement seeks to provide a framework in which to promote Dual Vocational Training or Vocational Training projects, support innovation, knowledge transfer or additional teacher training
  • The agreement has been reached thanks to the success of the previous agreement between the two institutions

The Conselleria de Educación, Cultura y Deporte de la Generalitat Valenciana and Fundación Bankia por la Formación Dual have renewed their commitment to promoting Vocational Training in the autonomous region through the signing of a new agreement that will replace the one that successfully concluded last year.

The agreement, which will last for two years, seeks to provide an adequate framework for the promotion of actions to promote Vocational Training and its dual modality, the promotion of dual training projects with the participation of companies, business organisations or trade unions, the support for innovation projects in Vocational Training, the transfer of knowledge and technology in vocational training, additional training for vocational training teachers, as well as company tutors, entrepreneurship assistance, or the dissemination of other actions agreed by both institutions.

The Minister of Education, Vicent Marzà stressed that 'Vocational Training is one of the core areas of our management. The health emergency caused by the pandemic has also caused an economic and social emergency. In this context, Vocational Training is essential to contribute to the necessary structural changes that the Valencian economy needs', adding: 'Speaking of a Europe of job opportunities and adapting the production model inexorably leads us to talk about the commitment to Vocational Training in the Valencian region. That is why we are allocating 47.12 million euros, 81% more than in 2020, which serve to increase the professional training of citizens adapted to the needs of the productive sectors and, thus, increase the ability to find a job. Within this framework, we believe that it is important to renew the agreement with Fundación Bankia por la Formación Dual'.

It must not forget that this academic year, the offer of Vocational Training courses includes a further 125 degrees, especially related to those productive sectors towards which the Valencian economy is to be redirected: green economy, robotics and digitalisation, advanced logistics, industry 4.0 and the health and care sector, among others.

For his part, the director of Fundación Bankia, Juan Carlos Lauder, expressed his satisfaction that 'the good collaboration established has served to promote vocational training in Comunidad Valenciana and to improve the employability of students, key objectives of our foundation's activity'.

Thanks to the above agreements, analysis and research on the Vocational Training system of Comunidad Valenciana could be promoted through the publication of 'Vocational Training in Comunidad Valenciana, situation and guidelines: territorial vision'.

In addition, Simposi Repensem l'FP was launched, from the Board of Education of Comunidad Valenciana, which gave voice to the entire educational community in a debate in which proposals were made regarding how to stop focusing the education system solely towards university students and making it turn towards the Vocational Training.

That voice from the educational community could also be heard during the organisation of the CEFIRE FP Congress 'La Formació Professional en l'era 4.0', held at the Palacio de la Música in Valencia, which sought to bring knowledge of the industry 4.0 to Vocational Training teachers and sharing experiences that already have an impact worldwide.

But in addition, numerous educational centres benefited from the possibility of internships abroad through the facilities provided by the Erasmobility platform, developed by CIPFP La Costera with our support in order to connect companies and foreign centres with companies and national centres and foster this exchange of Vocational Training professionals.

The excellent results achieved by the development of the agreement, as well as the good relationship established between the two institutions have also served to develop more Dual Vocational Training or Vocational Training actions, which, although not within the agreement, have been carried out with the collaboration between the two entities.

Thus, the SANEC biomedical research programme has held its fifth edition this year and has benefited a total of 144 students. And additional training such as COMEX to improve the employability of students in foreign trade has also reached more than a hundred students.
