Bankia S A : renews its agreement with Club Deportivo de Colegios Diocesanos in Ávila

The bank will sponsor the football club during the 2020/2021 season
The collaboration will benefit more than 450 athletes from the various club's lower categories

Bankia, in its commitment to promoting youth sports, has renewed its collaboration agreement with the Club Deportivo de Colegios Diocesanos in Ávila for the 2020/2021 season. The alliance between the two entities, which grants continuity to the agreement reached in 2018, will benefit more than 450 athletes from the various lower categories of the football club.

The agreement was signed by Bankia's area manager for Ávila Centre-North, Óscar Pérez Blázquez; and the chairman of the Club Deportivo de Colegios Diocesanos, Alberto Mellado, at its headquarters in Avila.

Bankia's area manager for the Ávila Centre-North region stressed that 'in the current pandemic, at Bankia we believe that it has become more necessary than ever to support the work carried out by local associations such as the Club Deportivo de Colegios Diocesanos in Ávila'. 'Many of the young athletes have not been able to resume their official competitions due to the health crisis and we consider it essential to commit our efforts to the club so that the base teams can continue to train and foster teamwork and effort', added Pérez.

For his part, Alberto Mellado has spoken positively about the union of the C.D. Colegios Diocesanos with Bankia 'in a very complicated year, in which all the support received by the youth teams is more special than ever before'.

'At C.D. Colegios Diocesanos we understand football in a different way. We take advantage of this sport to continue educating the boys and girls who are part of this club in life's necessary values. Effort, companionship or teamwork are the hallmark of Bankia, which is why this agreement unites the club with a financial institution that has the same way of understanding work and life', said the club's president.

The agreement aims to encourage the development and continued practice of sport in the following categories of federated football:

Primera División Provincial Cadete
Segunda División Provincial Cadete
Primera División Regional Infantil
