The COVID-19 situation in Thailand is currently controllable thanks to the collaboration of all sectors in observing prevention and risk reduction measures. Nevertheless, infections in neighboring countries continue to rise. There is also a risk in Thailand's border areas, where there are ongoing economic activities and cross-border travel.

Banpu Public Company Limited realizes the necessity to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in those vulnerable areas. The Company hence delivered N95 masks, PPE kits, and medical equipment and financial donation at the total amount of THB 2,758,000 to 4 hospitals in the border areas of Tak province, namely Mae Sot Hospital, Mae Ramat Hospital, Umphang Hospital, and Tha Song Yang Hospital. This is to provide the hospitals with essential medical equipment and support doctors' and nurses' operations to minimize infection risks during the proactive testing to identify infected persons according to the government screening measures.

This provision of medical equipment and donation is a mission supported by the 'Mitr Phol-Banpu Solidarity to Aid Thailand on COVID-19 Confrontation Endowment,' worth THB 500 million in total, half of which is endowed by Banpu. The endowment, which have continued since March 2020, aim to support the work of public health agencies and relieve the economic impacts on the needy and vulnerable people nationwide.
