Notice is hereby given that preference dividend number 160 at a rate of 6%
per annum in respect of the interim year ended 31 March 2016 (being 6cps)
has been declared, on 4 May 2016, to all preference shareholders.

In accordance with paragraphs 11.17 (a) (i) to (x) and 11.17(c) of the JSE
Listings Requirements the following additional information is disclosed:

   -   The dividend has been declared out of income reserves;
   -   Local dividends tax rate is 15% (fifteen per centum);
   -   Gross local dividend amount is 6 cents per preference share;
   -   Net local dividend amount is 5.10 cents per preference share;
   -   Barloworld has 375 000 preference shares in issue;

In compliance with the requirements of Strate and the JSE Limited, the
following dates are applicable:
