FRANKFURT (Reuters) - The chief executive of Wintershall Dea said he was not concerned by ongoing reports of U.S. sanctions threats against the Gazprom-led gas pipeline project Nord Stream 2, where his company acts as a co-financier.
"We are not affected," CEO Mario Mehren told reporters in a press call on Monday.
Mehren said he was confident the infrastructure would be built, adding that it was necessary to supply Europe's industry with competitively priced gas.
