BASF announces that its production site in Lemförde, Germany, has achieved ISCC PLUS certification for the production of biomass-balanced thermoplastic polyurethanes, and that the annual REDcert2 recertification has been passed for several thermoplastics and polyurethane systems.

These certifications strengthen its portfolio of sustainable products, enabling customers to reduce their carbon footprint without changing product quality or formulation.

Thanks to the mass balance method, fossil materials can be replaced by renewable or recycled raw materials, ensuring full traceability and compliance with international standards such as ISCC PLUS and REDcert2.

This solution reduces CO2 emissions and dependence on fossil resources, meeting the current expectations of producers and consumers", explains Artur Pfeif, Product Manager at BASF Performance Materials Europe.
