GDANSK, Aug 7 (Reuters) - BASF on Wednesday warned that it has to delay the supply of some products after a fire broke out last week at its plant in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
The deliveries of selected vitamin A, vitamin E, and carotenoid products as well as selected aroma ingredients will be delayed until further notice, the German chemicals giant added.
Force majeure declarations are intended to suspend a company’s contractual liabilities for supply outages in the wake of disasters that lie beyond its control.
