BASF announces that Chemovator, its business incubator, has successfully finalized an investment in Heartland.

This Detroit-based start-up is presented as a pioneer in the production of plastic additives based on natural fibers. Heartland has developed hemp-based materials that can be used as additives in plastic compounds.

In practical terms, Heartland helps manufacturers reduce the carbon footprint of plastic and rubber products.

With this financing, Heartland becomes the first Chemovator portfolio company in North America and the latest addition to the Chemovator Elevate program.
