06-Sep-2021 Application Note: Temperature Behavior and Heat Generation of ace 2 Cameras

Our Application Note on this topic describes the temperature behavior of our ace 2 camera. It shows what can cause a high camera temperature and demonstrates the benefits of a heat sink for lowering camera temperature.

In general, the lower the temperature, the better the image quality. At higher temperatures, the image quality deteriorates due to basic laws of physics; this effect is independent of the camera model. In practice, this effect is particularly noticeable at sensor temperatures above 40-50 °C.

Read our Application Note on how to use a heat sink to help your camera achieve better operating performance.
