09-Nov-2021 New pylon version 6.3 with multi-channel CXP-12 support!

Easy and stable connection of your vision applications with Basler cameras requires the right software in place. The Basler pylon Camera Software Suite consists of reli¬able, certified drivers for all kinds of camera interfaces, a powerful and easy programming interface, and a compre¬hensive set of tools for camera set-up.

The new pylon 6.3.0 release for Windows and Linux comes to empower the use of new boost cameras with 2 x CXP-12 interface and new CXP-12 Interface Cards 2C/4C with 2- and 4-channels. From the seamless integration of both components and their control via pylon, you significantly reduce your system costs.

Support for new 2 x CXP-12 boost cameras

The new pylon version provides full support for new boost cameras coming with two CXP-12 ports and powerful Sony Pregius S global shutter CMOS sensors IMX530, IMX531 and IMX532 with resolutions of 16 MP, 20 MP and 24 MP, and frame rates up to 150 fps.

Support for new CXP-12 Interface Cards 2C/4C

pylon also supports the matching interface cards with two and four CXP-12 ports now. In this way, multi-camera setups with CoaXPress 2.0 interface can be realized with ease, which in turn reduces the complexity of hardware and software and thus the integration effort.

We recommend reading the pylon 6.3.0 release notes for more information on further features and improvements.
