My tasks are very wide-ranging-that's a big positive of my job. For example, I'm in charge of an internal newsletter, I write social media posts, and communicate with our vendor partners to plan and conduct joint marketing activities.
What is the most enjoyable part of your job?I most like how varied my job is. No two days are the same, and I never know what tasks and challenges are waiting for me to solve. I also really like that I can communicate with so many different people, partners, and departments. It's definitely never boring! I also really like being able to promote such a hugely important and future-oriented topic at Bechtle Clouds and advocate for it together as a team.
Bechtle is a very modern employer that actively meets its employees needs. Initiative and enthusiasm are noticed and rewarded here.
How do you keep a healthy work/life balance? It really helps me to get some fresh air after work or just read for half an hour if the weather's not so nice. That helps me unwind well and think about something else.
Talking of reading, how did you get to be so active on Instagram? At the start of 2021, I discovered a little book club called Bookstagram. I've always loved to read and read a lot, and I also like to take photos, so without further ado, I thought why not try it? And one thing led to another. I've now been posting for over a year and really enjoying it.
What's the most unusual thing that's happened to you on Instagram?I'm really happy that Instagram has enabled me to establish contact with authors and publishers-as a bookworm it's such a thrill. The best or most unusual thing though was when the author Kübra Gümüşay posted my review of her book as her Instagram story with some kind words.
Not that many, actually, because I declutter quite often and get rid of books that I haven't liked as much. I would say that I have about 120 books on my shelves.
Approximately how many books would you say you've read in the last year or month?I write down every book that I read, so I'm able to remember them better. In 2021 I read exactly 70 books and as of February this year I've read 12.
Do you also read books that help with your work at Bechtle?I mainly read modern literature and novels-not so much non-fiction. You might think at first glance that these books aren't really "useful". I always notice though how the various stories and perspectives from the books are very applicable to relationships and actually help with my work. Most of all, I think that my love of books enriches me on a personal level and that's something that directly feeds into my job at Bechtle.
And last but not least, what book would you recommend to your Bechtle colleagues? On the topic of stories and perspectives, I would heartily recommend the latest novel by Fatma Aydemir-Dschinns. The book deals very sensitively and emphatically with the story of a Turkish-German family. It's definitely a very enriching book.
