Bechtle : Steffen acquires software company algacom AG

Mägenwil/Basel, 28 October 2019 - Bechtle Steffen Schweiz AG acquires Basel-based algacom AG. Specialising in IT services for collaboration, identity management and access management, the company was first established in 1997 and will now bolster Bechtle Steffen's cloud-driven solution business. algacom's 34 employees are concentrated in Basel, with satellites in Vienna and Tucumán, Argentina. In 2018, they generated revenues of some CHF 6.4 million. The IT service provider's broad customer base is composed of international public and industrial enterprises. In selling his company, founder René Altorfer enables his business to live on under future-oriented management. He will remain aboard and continue to contribute under the Bechtle Steffen brand. algacom will be fully incorporated into Bechtle Steffen, reinforcing the company's software solutions unit.

With aMIRA, algacom has its solution for identity and access management on offer, which will become available as a service from Bechtle Steffen's cloud platform.

algacom's customers now benefit from the whole breadth of the Bechtle Group's IT portfolio, including cloud services and cross-vendor infrastructure solutions.
