Bechtle sponsors Neckarsulm women's handball team

• Bechtle expands cooperation with Sport-Union Neckarsulm
• Collaboration agreed for an initial three years

Neckarsulm, 26 October 2021 - Bechtle AG has announced a new sponsorship deal with the women's national league handball team, Sport-Union Neckarsulm, for this ongoing and the next two seasons. Neckarsulmer Sport-Union e.V. has more than 3,000 members playing 16 sports. The club not only promotes sport at a grassroots level, but also develops various disciplines to a top-league competitive level.

After finishing 6th last season-their highest finish in the premier league to date-the handball team is the perfect partner for Bechtle to promote top-class sport at the home of its headquarters. With this deal, Bechtle AG is expanding its long-standing partnership with Sport-Union and is making its first foray into the world of sports sponsorship. The new partnership will be on display for the first time on 29 October 2021 at the Sport-Union's home match against HL Buchholz 08-Rosengarten in the Neckarsulm Ballei, which will be broadcast on Eurosport Germany at 19:20.

This season, the Sport-Union team is made up of players from Portugal, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain and Germany, seven of whom play for their respective national teams. The team is coached by Tanja Logvin-a former top-class player from Austria. Bechtle has a presence in all of these countries, but is rooted in Neckarsulm with an international team and ambitious goals-just like the women's handball team, who aren't just aiming high in the national league, but also hoping to make an impact on the European stage.

Compared to their male colleagues, professional female athletes' achievements tend to be overlooked, and we want our sponsorship to set an example," says Dr Thomas Olemotz, CEO, Bechtle AG.
