Becle, S.A.B. De C.V. Announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2019. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was MXN 6,969 million compared to MXN 7,177 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 1,247 million compared to MXN 1,661 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 869 million compared to MXN 1,450 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was MXN 0.24 compared to MXN 0.4 a year ago. For the half year, sales was MXN 12,247 million compared to MXN 11,483 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 2,234 million compared to MXN 2,618 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 1,561 million compared to MXN 1,592 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was MXN 0.44 compared to MXN 0.44 a year ago.
Becle SAB de CV is a Mexico-based company engaged in the beverages industry. The Company focuses on the production, bottling, trade and distribution of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Its offer includes various types of tequila distributed under own Jose Cuervo brand name, non-alcoholic drinks, ready-to-drink beverages, as well as other distilled alcohols distributed under third-party brand names, including Three Olives, Hangar 1, Stranahan's, Bushmills and Boodles. Its distribution chain comprises operations in the United States, Mexico and other countries. In addition, the Company is involved in the farming and processing of blue agave.
