Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. has named Holly Etlin as its interim chief financial officer, the struggling home-goods retailer said Monday in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

The Union, N.J.-based company said interim CFO Laura Crossen will resume her role as the company's senior vice president of finance and chief accounting officer.

Ms. Crossen became interim CFO role early in September following the death of Gustavo Arnal amid plans to secure new financing, cut jobs and close stores.

Additionally, the company said it reached a credit agreement amendment that will take its revolving debt down to $565 million from $1.13 billion previously.

Earlier Monday, the company announced an equity offering to raise more than $1 billion of financing and potentially resolve defaults on its bond debt and credit lines.

Shares dropped 35% in after-hours trading.
