According to the jury, Beiersdorf Manufacturing Tres Cantos received the award for being an "Excellent Transformation Production Site" due to the outstanding implementation of a comprehensive plant expansion, the high level of employee engagement and motivation, and the future orientation in the areas of digitalization and sustainability.

The jury particularly highlighted the site's performance during the COVID pandemic: a wide range of measures to ensure the safety of the workforce, the maintenance of delivery capability and the flexible production to disinfectants - which were donated to hospitals and public institutions.
