Beiersdorf AG said Tuesday that its dermo-cosmetics brand Eucerin will eliminate all packaging leaflets by July 2021.

The German maker of personal-care products said 80% of Eucerin products are being produced without package inserts as of this month, and that the brand is testing new carton material for boxes to further reduce demand for paper.

The move is expected to save around 175 tons of paper annually by 2025 compared with 2019.

"In addition, we are developing programs to further promote social inclusion for individuals and groups affected by skin diseases," Cornelius Becker, global head of derma cosmetics, said.
