TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) _ Benchmark Electronics Inc. (BHE) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $7.7 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Tempe, Arizona-based company said it had profit of 21 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 34 cents per share.

The electronic manufacturing services company posted revenue of $521.3 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $14.1 million, or 38 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $2.05 billion.

For the current quarter ending in April, Benchmark expects its per-share earnings to range from 18 cents to 22 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $480 million to $520 million for the fiscal first quarter.

Benchmark shares have risen 2% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $27.60, a decline of 11% in the last 12 months.
