Berger Paints India Limited announced audited standalone and consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2017. For the quarter, on standalone basis, the company’s revenue from operation was INR 11,370.8 million against INR 10,549.2 million a year ago. Profit before exceptional items was INR 1,448.2 million against INR 1,404.6 million a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 1,168.2 million against INR 1,404.6 million a year ago. Net profit was INR 749.7 million or INR 0.77 per basic and diluted share against INR 949.5 million or INR 0.98 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
For the year, on standalone basis, the company’s revenue from operation was INR 46,085.3 million against INR 43,059.1 million a year ago. Profit before exceptional items was INR 6,070.3 million against INR 5,386.9 million a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 6,657.0 million against INR 5,386.9 million a year ago. Net profit was INR 4,464.5 million or INR 4.60 per basic and diluted share against INR 3,562.6 million or INR 3.67 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
For the quarter, on consolidated basis, the company’s revenue from operation was INR 12,364.2 million against INR 11,432.6 million a year ago. Profit before share of joint ventures, exceptional items and tax was INR 1,476.4 million against INR 1,376.0 million a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 1,501.1 million against INR 1,393.6 million a year ago. Net profit was INR 1,055.0 million or INR 1.09 per basic and diluted share against INR 920.0 million or INR 0.95 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
For the year, on consolidated basis, the company’s revenue from operation was INR 50,504.5 million against INR 46,838.5 million a year ago. Profit before share of joint ventures, exceptional items and tax was INR 6,488.3 million against INR 5,534.9 million a year ago. The Company offers products in categories, including interior wall coatings, exterior wall coatings, exterior textures, metal finishes, wood finishes, under coats, water proofing solutions. Its designer finishes include Silk GlamArt Metallica, Silk GlamArt Metallica for Designs, Silk GlamArt Non-Metallic, Silk GlamArt Stones and Tones, Silk GlamArt Stucco. Its interior emulsions include Silk Breathe Easy, Silk Glamor Matt, Silk Glow and Silk Glamor Soft Sheen. Its interior wall distempers include Bison Distemper. The Company's exterior emulsions include WeatherCoat Long Life 10, WeatherCoat Long Life 7, WeatherCoat Anti Dustt, WeatherCoat Long Life PU Tile Coat, and Never Miss Ceiling White. Its Sandila Plant is the manufacturing facility of the Company in India with capability to produce 33,000 MT per month, bulk of which is water-based paint.
