Berry Global Group, Inc. announced earnings results for the third quarter ended July 3, 2021. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was USD 3,675 million compared to USD 2,910 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 343 million compared to USD 347 million a year ago. Net income was USD 194 million compared to USD 191 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.44 compared to USD 1.44 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.4 compared to USD 1.42 a year ago. For the nine months, sales was USD 10,181 million compared to USD 8,701 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 980 million compared to USD 830 million a year ago. Net income was USD 505 million compared to USD 364 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.76 compared to USD 2.75 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.67 compared to USD 2.71 a year ago.

The Company operates through four segments: Consumer Packaging International, Consumer Packaging North America, Health, Hygiene and Specialties, and Engineered Materials. The Consumer Packaging International segment primarily consists of closures and dispensing systems, pharmaceutical devices and packaging, bottles and canisters, and containers. The Consumer Packaging North America segment primarily consists of containers and pails, foodservice, closures, bottles, prescription vials, and tubes. The Health, Hygiene & Specialties segment primarily consists of healthcare, hygiene, specialties, and tapes. The Engineered Materials segment primarily consists of stretch and shrink films, converter films, institutional can liners, food and consumer films, retail bags, and agriculture films. It is also engaged in offering a full suite of tooling capabilities, including injection, blow, compression, and thermo-forming molds.
