The various PRH Education Instructional Libraries are organized by genre and each include 100 titles.

In times of the coronavirus, independent reading and learning are even more important to academic success than before. To support this process, Penguin Random House Education is now offering schools in the U.S. its Classroom Libraries, which predominantly contain award-winning, beloved books reflecting diversity that are published by the two U.S. children's book publishing groups, Random House Children's Books and Penguin Young Readers, but also include titles from DK as well as other PRH imprints. A variety of libraries are offered to schools here: The PRH Education Independent Reading Library is aimed at students in grades eight and up and includes 350 novels and nonfiction books for independent reading. The various PRH Education Instructional Libraries are organized by genre and each contain 100 titles that can be used to accompany the respective subject.

PRH Education designed the Classroom Libraries with the help of renowned educator and literacy expert Laura Robb, who has more than 40 years of teaching experience and has written numerous books on literacy.

'I want students to 'read the world' and have opportunities to select culturally diverse books that are relevant to their varied lives and interests,' says Robb. By offering classroom libraries for students to select their books from, 'we invite students to not only build their reading skill and expertise but use their imagination to visualize, comprehend, make connections, and love reading.' Each PRH Education Classroom Library includes a comprehensive Educator Handbook written by Laura Robb.

Colin Reublinger, Manager, Education Sales Marketing at Penguin Random House, says: 'With the use of the PRH Education Classroom Libraries, schools and districts can connect students with the very best texts that Penguin Random House has to offer. The libraries promote a reading culture in and out of the classroom and are ultimately supporting equity by giving all students an opportunity to see themselves and others in the stories they read.'Michael Gentile, VP Education Sales Marketing at Penguin Random House, adds: 'It is Penguin Random House House's mission to foster a universal passion for reading by publishing stories that inform, entertain, and inspire students everywhere.' The new Classroom Libraries, he says, helps support students, teachers, and schools by providing the most timely, engaging, and diverse voices that harness the power of literacy.'
