What: Best Buy is pleased to participate in Massachusetts' upcoming
sales tax holiday Aug. 11-12, 2007. The sales tax holiday offers
consumers the chance to make tax-free purchases on technology
and entertainment for products up to $2,500 in Best Buy stores.
Store hours will be extended to accommodate the holiday. These
Saturday, Aug. 11 -- 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 12 -- 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Local Best Buy BlueShirts may be available for live or taped
in-store interviews and can offer:
-- Back-to-school shopping advice
-- Information about the latest technology
-- B-roll or photography
How: Best Buy Public Relations Department is instituting a
"manager-approval" news media policy for newspaper, TV and
radio reporters for the sales tax holiday. This policy
empowers store managers to approve or decline sales tax
holiday news media stories without having to obtain
approval from the corporate Best Buy Public Relations
