Bharti Airtel Ltd. posted a net profit in its fourth quarter due to the improved performance of its domestic mobile-service segment as well as the reversal of an intangible-asset impairment.

The Indian telecom company said Monday that profit came to 7.59 billion rupees ($103.6 million) for the quarter ended March compared with a net loss of INR52.37 billion a year earlier. That missed the estimate of INR14.33 billion taken from a poll of analysts by S&P Global Market Intelligence.

Revenue increased to INR257.47 billion from INR237.23 billion.

The company said it hasn't noted a "material impact" from the Covid-19 pandemic but will continue to monitor and evaluate changes in macroeconomic and other factors.

In the January-March period of 2020, the company's bottom line was hit by exceptional charges of INR70.04 billion, primarily related to longstanding telecom-license disputes with the Indian government.
