Laura shared how key technology and innovation accelerate continuous improvement and cost savings right across our value chain, at the virtual Bank of America SmartMine 2022 "The Innovators" conference.

Attendees heard how under CEO, Mike Henry, we have seen an increased focus on technology and innovation and, as a result, we have become more agile in the way that we work.

Laura provided examples from across the business of the front line working directly with the Technology team to create innovative solutions to drive improvement in safety and productivity.

"Many ideas start on the front line with the people who operate our assets every day. They are best placed to work out how to standardise work processes and share innovative ways to work," said Laura.

The audience, consisting mainly of industry representatives and investors, also heard how we are confident our investment in digital technology and innovation, linked with automation, will follow a path of increasing returns guiding BHP into an exciting future.
