The park's five turbines will be in operation from November 2015 and will produce around 42 gigawatt hours of electricity per year, which equates to the annual consumption of around 9,300 households. The transaction value has not been disclosed. The closing of the signed purchase agreement will take place once the wind park is completed.

The HelveticWind partnership was founded in March 2010 by Energie Wasser Bern (ewb) and BKW Energy Ltd. In January 2012, EBL (Genossenschaft Elektra Baselland), EKZ Renewables AG, a subsidiary of Elektrizitätswerke des Kantons Zürich (EKZ), and SN Erneuerbare Energie AG (SNEE) joined the partnership. BKW and ewb each hold 29% of voting rights in the company, with EKZ holding just over 20%, and EBL and SNEE around 11% each. HelveticWind's activities are mainly focused in Germany and Italy.

HelveticWind has five wind parks in Germany, with a total capacity of 85 MW and one wind park in Italy with a capacity of 36 MW.
