BlackRock Utilities, Infrastructure & Power Opportunities Trust (the Trust) is a closed-end management investment company. The Trust's investment objective is to provide total return through a combination of current income and long-term capital appreciation. It seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing under normal market conditions, at least 80% of its total assets in equity securities issued by companies that are engaged in the Utilities, Infrastructure and Power Opportunities business segments. The Infrastructure segment includes companies that own or operate infrastructure assets. The Power Opportunities segment includes companies with involvement in, supporting, or necessary renewable energy technology and development.
