The Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) has started the first major project from the "Battery Ecosystem" funding measure - and will thus support Blackstone Technology (100% subsidiary of Blackstone Resources AG) in the first step. 24.1 million euros go to us and our partners!
We say thank you and guarantee: Every euro goes towards progress. The funds are primarily used to further develop our 3D-printed sodium-based solid-state batteries. We are thus making an important contribution to a clean, sustainable and safe energy transition. The parliamentary state secretary in the BMWK, Michael Kellner, also sees it this way: "Research is the basis for the development of new technologies for the energy transition. With the funding measure for the battery ecosystem, we ensure that the next generation of sustainable batteries is developed towards series maturity. The Blackstone Technology project deals with 3D-printed sodium-based batteries, which largely do without imported raw materials. Even if there are still a few steps to go before vehicles can be used, this technology already has the potential to become an important building block for even more sustainable mobility Made in Germany."
With a German industry and research consortium, we will now continue to develop the previously validated laboratory results of 3D-printed solid-state batteries towards series production within the next three years. 32 million euros will be invested in a pilot plant at the production site in Döbeln in Saxony as well as in extensive research and development work. Preparations are also being made for the upscaling of sodium-based solid-state electrolytes on a ton scale so that Blackstone can produce them from 2025.

Let's go!
