TAMPA, Fla. (AP) _ Bloomin' Brands Inc. (BLMN) on Friday reported third-quarter net income of $32 million.

On a per-share basis, the Tampa, Florida-based company said it had profit of 34 cents.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 33 cents per share.

The owner of Outback Steakhouse and other casual dining spots posted revenue of $1.06 billion in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.05 billion.

For the current quarter ending in December, Bloomin' Brands expects its per-share earnings to range from 63 cents to 73 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $1.12 billion to $1.15 billion for the fiscal fourth quarter.

Bloomin' Brands expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.45 to $2.55 per share, with revenue ranging from $4.44 billion to $4.47 billion.

Bloomin' Brands shares have increased 7.5% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased slightly more than 4% in the last 12 months.
