The exploration company Bluelake Mineral comments in a press release on Bergsstaten's decision on Stekenjokk and Levi, which was reported by SVT earlier today.
The company received a negative decision for Stekenjokk and a positive decision for Levi.
Bergsstaten has now decided to grant an exploitation concession for Levi with a validity period of 25 years. Based on the mineral resources in Levi, the company believes that there is a basis for up to seven more years of mining in the company's planned mining operations in Joma, Norway.
With regard to the application for an exploitation concession for Stekenjokk, however, Bergsstaten rejects the application with reference to the fact that the mineralization is considered too little investigated and that the so-called ore evidence can therefore not be approved.
However, the company believes that Bergsstaten has already approved ore evidence for Stekenjokk and that this part of the administrative law principles cannot be changed. The company therefore probably intends to appeal this part of Bergsstaten's decision.
