ACC (Automotive Cells Company), the electric vehicle battery joint venture between Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz and Saft (a subsidiary of TotalEnergies), announces the closing of a €4.4 billion debt-raising, guaranteed by a consortium of commercial banks.

One of the largest ever in the sector in Europe, this debt-raising reinforces the financing of the construction of three lithium-ion battery cell gigafactories in France, Germany and Italy, as well as the company's R&D.

ACC's three shareholders also confirm their participation in a forthcoming capital injection: by the end of March 2024, Stellantis will own 45% of ACC's shares, Mercedes-Benz 30% and Saft 25%.
