Boeing has announced that the Polish government has signed an agreement to purchase 96 AH-64E Apache combat helicopters from Boeing as part of Poland's KRUK program.

The contract represents the largest FMS (Foreign Military Sales, the U.S. government program that allows foreign countries to purchase military equipment directly from the U.S. government) order in the history of Boeing's Vertical Lift division.

The agreement includes a partnership with the Polish defense industry for maintenance, support and technology development, which will create highly skilled jobs.

The helicopters will enhance Poland's operational capability and interoperability with NATO and allied forces.
