The mining company Boliden has received all regulatory approvals for the acquisition of Somincor (Neves-Corvo) and Zinkgruvan. This is stated in a press release.

With the approval from the European Commission, Boliden has received all necessary regulatory approvals for the transaction.

The regulatory approvals now obtained include competition approval from the European Commission and approval from the Inspectorate for Strategic Products under the Foreign Direct Investment Review Act, as well as approval under the Portuguese concession agreement for Neves-Corvo and approval of other fundamental permits.

The acquisition is expected to close within the next few weeks, after the remaining closing conditions are met.
